After a fairly long break from game development for other ventures, and work, I'm back at it. I recently had my Macbook essentially crash (in the middle of the It's Based jam) so I am currently coding, still in Godot, on my Steamdeck. It's not ideal, but it's working.
Execute_duel is on pause as I focus on getting a more solid foundation in all the core systems, but I will be returning to it at some point.
The latest game was Outpost: Ares which takes a lot of inspiration from the original Asteroids game. It includes screenwrap for a bit of a differing stratagem than standard mine-and-shoot space games. It was a lot of fun! There's even a hidden base defence scenario built-in that is on a random trigger when sitting in the basescreen (where you upgrade and refuel/repair). I made all the assets for that one.
When I was working on the game for the game jam and was getting into art for the base, I had a crazy idea. I'm currently chasing it.
