Early development: /execute_duel

The idea was to get me back into game dev, as I've been really distracted with real-life: work, politics, etc. In order to get out of my head about looks, I decided to go purely text-based.

The theme is heavy Cyberpunk. It runs in a console/terminal-like window with very minimal UI.

I thought making a poker rogue-like (like a certain popular game) would be easy and fun to do, since I love it so much and know how the game works.

There are no actual "duels" in the game right now, but that's the next step. Right now it runs like that other game, where you play poker hands, score points, and then go to a shop where you can buy a few upgrades and permanent buffs that add score to your played (and scored) cards.

No frills. No crazy graphics (that are addicting...). Play a round, go to shop, repeat until the round score just obliterates your ability to score.

There are a few one-time use upgrades (some apply permanent bonuses, some are utility, some are temporary-- these are my template and basic ones I'll use to build out a bigger selection later). Some "buffs" are like the ones that sit on top of the screen in that other game. A few, not too many yet. I'm working on it. The big thing was getting the infrastructure to deal with them all triggering in place.

If you do play it, please let me know what you think. I don't have a lot of people in real life that are willing to play it (one or two) and so random strangers/friends (hello!) giving unbiased opinions means a lot. What do you want to see and be able to do? The UI is basic and under construction, but functional, but *how* functional?

TLDR: Text-based poker rogue-like with heavy cyberpunk overlay.

Update: (minor) I left it as name your own price but by no means do you need to pay me, even a tip. This is a personal project but I'm having a lot of fun with it (translation: it's consumed my life). Anyway, already a few bugs found by a tester, so I'll be reuploading versions every couple of days or whatever.
